The BCM control unit manages many passenger compartment services but also driving assistance functions such as wipers and lights
Reviewable defects:
Problems related to the body computer of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta can be found in various anomalies, but the most frequent is the malfunction of the rear window wiper, with the following anomalies:
The windshield wiper does not return to the end position
It stops in incorrect positions, often in the middle of the glass
Once the stop command has been sent via the lever, the rear windshield wiper continues to work for several passes and then stops (not always at the end of its stroke)
Non-reviewable defects
Particularly extensive malfunctions or partially burned units are usually fixable with replacement and coding of a refurbished body computer. In this case, the cost of the intervention amounts to €350.00
Location in the car:
The body computer is located on the driver's side, under the plate on the left; it is easily accessible by removing part of the passenger compartment upholstery.
