Lack of Communication:

• Example 1: The ECU has filled with water, corroded some pins, and now it doesn’t communicate during diagnosis, and the car won’t start.
• Example 2: Due to a short circuit, the ECU is burnt out, does not enter diagnosis, and the car won’t start.

Recovery or Malfunction:

• Example: The vehicle starts and runs well, but then it goes into emergency mode, and the engine warning light comes on.
• Example: The car starts directly in emergency mode.
• Example: The car shuts off or runs poorly.
• Example: The car doesn’t start.

Engine Warning Light On: The ECU fault may sporadically fail to power certain sensors, leading to the engine shutting down or inhibiting starting.

  • P2506: ECM/PCM power input out of range
  • P215011: Injector group B
